Let me take you back to the morning of our little science experiment. The morning we took the shots we posted. The morning after Peter’s little “wait here” remark.
That morning was our first chance to shower in a couple of days. Peter sent me to the shower first. Alice had been having some plumbing issues. Something to the with the -40F temperatures they’d been experiencing in Fairbanks. I think he wanted me to test the water, so to speak.
“How was it?”, he asked as I stepped out of the bathroom. “Great”, I replied. “I finished with a 40 second burst of cold water, just to get my circulation going again.”
“What? Are you crazy?”, he answered. “Not at all”, I said, “I’ve been doing it for years. Best thing in the world to wake you up.”
About 15 minutes later Peter stepped out of the shower, blue and shivering. “Wow”, he said, “I don’t know how you managed 40 seconds. I could only do 7 or 8.”
“Really”, I replied, “I’ve never done it myself”.
YES!
